DILLINGERS

Formerly The Electric Circus, Dillingers is now in lull swing for
the Thursday to Sunday rocksteady crew. Realising that many a large disco complex has lallen into the category at mausoleum, Dillingers sports (apart lrom highly expensive video and lighting equipment) a lair grasp of what the 20 to 25 year-olds
are up to, into and move to.
Thursdays have a tendency towards ‘theme discos‘, 70s’ Nights etc. Admission is £1 lor gents and ladies lree. Fridays and Saturdays oller mixtures of live music, soul, lunk, Euro-beat sounds and various promos on beers and spirits.
The management, who are surprisingly around the 20—25 age mark themselves, have an eye lor the occasion with events such as last Saturdays US Independence Day celebrations, cut price to hipsters turning out in American sport gear (Flip conspiracy?), coupled with American beer promotions and music to suit. A Soul Train Club on Sundays is in the oiling for a
trial lourweeks.
Attendance is on the up as imagination and investment seem to pay oll—will it last? (Stuart Baiker)
