FOOTBALL Saturday 4

FINE FARE LEAGUE

PREMIER DIVISION

0 Celtic v Rangers Celtic Park. Glasgow (Buses 61. 62. 64) All-ticket. Celtic must win here to retain any serious title aspirations. but Rangers look increasingly unlikely to let their lead slip away. and must start favourites to maintain an unbeaten Old Firm sequence this season. Not one for the uncommitted spectator. even if they could get a precious ticket.

0 Falkirk v Clydebank Brockville. Falkirk ( 100 yards from Grahamston Station). Vital relegation struggle ~ likely to be on the dour side.

0 Hearts 1! Hibs Tynecastle. Edinburgh (Buses 1.2. 3.4. 33. 34. 44) All-ticket. Nothing more than pride at stake here now. but that is fuel enough for a derby match. Difficult to see a still-consistent Hibs reverse a long run of disappointments in this fixture.

o Motherwell v Hamilton Fir Park. Motherwell (All Motherwell buses pass ground).

0 St Mirren v Dundee Utd Love Street. Paisley (10mins from Gilmour Street Station).

FIRST DIVISION

0 Dunfermline v Kilmarnock East End Park. Dunfermline ( 15 mins from Stations).

0 Morton v East Fife Cappielow. Greenock (5 mins from Cartsdyke Station).

Saturday 11

SCOTTISH CUP

(Semi-Finals)

0 Hearts 1! SI Mirren Hampden Park. Glasgow (2 mins from Mount Florida Station). Stand £7 and £5: Ground £3. Hearts will start favourites to reach their successive final. while Saints‘ patchy form. and their record of failures at this stage. will do little to bolster confidence of better things. Likely to be a close-run affair.

o Dundee v Dundee Uld Tyneeastle. Edinburgh (Buses 1.2. 3.4. 33. 34. 44). Stand £7 and £5: Ground £3. 2pm Kick-Off. United are fancied by many for the Cup this season. but they could scarcely face a tougher match than this local derby. Tension

is likely to triumph over good

football. which could favour

Dundee. but lexpect a Hearts v

United final as the eventual outcome

of these unusually well-matched ties.

with midweek replays a distinct

possibility in both.
