theatres operate concessionary rates. both the Citizens’. Glasgow and the Royal Lyceum. Edinburgh have a FREE preview on the Thursday night before the opening Friday night ofeach production. The Citizens also offer free tickets to UB40s and OAPs every evening on the door (£1 in advance). See Theatre listings for details of shows. Scottish Television and BBC Scotland often offer free tickets to audiences for live shows. though not many are being recorded at present. Phillips’ sales are Friday and sometimes Weds; Lyons and Turnbull‘s are Sat and Wed. The latter also have antique sales every second Sat and sales of bric-a-brac outside in Thistle Street Lane on
