LOOKING AHEAD
0 Gregory Nash will be beginning a Scottish tour in February, appearing in his new piece ‘Momentum Rush‘ at Edinburgh‘s Theatre Workshop on 13 and 14 Feb. On 12 Feb he will be teaching at the Assembly Rooms between 2.30 and 4.30pm. More details ofthe tour in The List‘s next issue.
0 March looks set to be a month heavily punctuated by dance and dancers. The main Edinburgh event will be Focus on Dance, a week of performance, classes and residencies organised by Assembly Theatre Ltd, the outfit which puts life into the Assembly Rooms during the Festival. Visiting artists will include tap dancer Will Gaines, Paulene Daniels from the Netherlands, Astrakan from France and Shobana Jeyasingh. Scottish groups will be taking part too, among them Rotating Dancers, Scottish Dance Theatre, Dundee Rep, and Korus. Classes will cater for all levels and techniques- jazz, tap, jive, ballet, contemporary, renaissance, the list goes on.
