Glasgow’s own Jimmy Feighan, ex-pianist and pipe band drummie and now one of Scotland’s best-known tenor sax players and a wizard on the Vibraphone, takes a Platiorm slot at Edinburgh's Queen's Hall Fri 21 Nov, and the same venue Fri 14 Nov sees the

return at the enduring iigure oi Benny Waters (see photo) whose career stretches back to the King Oliver days and recordings with Clarence Williams in the Twenties. He has worked with the greatest names oi the Thirties as an arranger and perlormer including spells with Fletcher Henderson and Jim Lunceiord. Finding Europe and Britain especially receptive to his classic jazz and song style he has virtually settled on this side oi the Atlantic, touring regularly and extensively.
