Sixty paintings. watercolours. engravings. photographs and sculptures have been selected to examine the artists‘ response to the emergence ofheavy industry and to the recent trends in technological development. George Washington Wilson‘s photograph of the Tay Bridge Disaster and Douglas Simpson‘s images of today's North Sea are separated by the years but share this common view.
