MUSIC LIST
ENGLISH BOSE
A professional folk singer since 1969,
Tony Rose is regarded as probably the finest of the revivallsts. His background at Oxford, where he was a choral scholar at Queens and his subsequent years as a teacher are incorporated in his relaxed, sure vocal style and his humour and enthusiasm in relating the history of a song.
..,The guitar and English concertina are used to great effect as accompaniment and contemporary songs are increasingly finding their way into what is essentially a traditional repertoire. He delights audiences on both sides oi the Atlantic and his numerous albums sell steadily. Edinburgh Folk Club on the 16th and Glasgow’s Star Club on the 24th will be presenting this West Country singer ol quality. (Norman
