Mother Christmas visited Womanzone in Edinburgh on Sat 7 Dec and returns again on Sat 14 (see listings). She'll be touring Edinburgh in an open-topped car and reading stories at Womanzone to the children while the patents can tuck into mince pies and

mulled wine.

This lighthearted seasonal blow to some of the more sexist traditions attached to Christmas is only one oi the events organised throughout the year at Womanzone, a woman’s calé and bookshop, and the only one at its kind in Edinburgh. lt stocks a wide variety ot literature, mostly by women writers, and also organises and has details at events.
