THREE HALF PINTS PRESENT THE THREE MUSKETEERS CBeebies trio’s fast-paced slapstick romp through classic tale
Whatever age you are, there’s something undeniably exciting about seeing a performer ‘off the telly’ live on stage. Watchers of BBC channel CBeebies should have no problem recognising comedy trio The Three Half Pints when they visit the Fringe this August, after seeing Dick, Derek and Ernie (aka Richard Franks, Callum Donnelly and Robin Hatcher) as green-faced aliens in new show Odd Bods and enjoying a wee guest spot on the hugely popular Justin’s House.
Following the success of their previous show, Bad Guys, the dynamic trio are back with a
new slice of slapstick silliness inspired by the 17th-century tale of The Three Musketeers. Promising adventure, chivalry, swordplay and lots of falling over, this show is the kind of fast- paced romp that prompts a new laugh before you’ve even i nished the old one. And in among their Fringe run, the trio will be performing two relaxed performances (on 9, 23 Aug) tailored to anyone who would benei t from a calmer environment. (Kelly Apter) ■ Gilded Balloon Teviot, 5–27 Aug (not 21 & 22), 12.45pm, £10–£11 (£9-£10). Previews 2–4 Aug, £6.
