COVER STORY PUDDLES PITY PARTY With his permanent sadface and teardrops, Puddles is far more than the coulrophobia-inducing clown of your nightmares. His Pity Party is all emotion, all the time, resonating with audiences in a way it’s hard to imagine any clown doing before. The Atlanta native takes on melancholic anthems and reimagines them in tragic yet beautiful ways. Check out his ‘Royals’ by Lorde on YouTube – 12.5 million views can’t be wrong. See interview, page 18.
