Foodies at the Festival
.1
With great power comes great responsibility; with the Fringe comes
the inevitable raft of feeble comedians making deep-fried Mars Bar jokes. Scottish cuisine is, of course, in much ruder health than its artery-clogging reputation would have you believe, as this two-day festival is aiming to show. Stalls, taster sessions and masterclasses will showcase the best fresh local produce, our Michelin-starred chefs Martin Wishart, Tom Kitchin and Jeff Bland will be among those rolling up their sleeves in the Chefs Theatre, and that lovely Nell Nelson, or The Woman Who Ate Scotland will be offering advice on what to put in the perfect summer picnic.
