Teacher, novelist, playwright, children's book author and now filmmaker, Christophe Honoré’s moniker is fast becoming the name to drop on the world film festival circuit. His last two films - incest drama Ma Mere and playful Nouvelle Vague-ish comedy drama Dans Pan's have divided audiences. His latest work, his first musical, starring French rising stars Louis Garrel and Ludivine Sagnier, has already drawn comparisons with Jacques Demy's garish, groundbreaking 1964 musical Umbrellas of Cherbourg.
