The dark snde of love
Humankind‘s lifelong quest to find the pertect mate features in two of Aurora Nova's impressive dance shows. Same theme. depressingly conclusive results. Both productions use language. music and dance to map out the route on this well-travelled road. with enough humour to keep you from slitting your romantic wrists.
Husband and wife founders. Rafaele Giovanola and Rainlad Endrab. choreograph and direct COCOONDANCE‘s Lovers and Other Strangers (COO ) from Germany. Edgy. earthy and raw. the production literally strips 8 relationship down to its bare bones. seeking a balance between love and hate. The movement and merging of dancers Viviana Escale and Volkhard Samuel Guist and a colossal carpet of crumpled paper. reflect a more global quest to understand the cultural collisions that trouble the globe.

RD Laing to get to the bottom of what makes relationships tick badly. A faultlesst slick high-energy production of dance theatre sees three Iovelorn couples reveal the ‘everyman' ugly truths of the psychiatrist's couch. As they explore what lurks behind the closed doors of all ‘heaven-made‘ matches. from the first kiss to wedded bliss. it makes you want to beg the dancers to stop . . . except they do it so well.
