MANGA DJ Marky Brazil‘s drum & bass king
For club-goers in the capital it wouldn’t be a Festival without an appearance by Scotland‘s premier drum 8. bass night. What that means, for those unfamiliar with the city's scene, is that Manga is the only place that jungle enthusiasts need step off at during their visit. And here's one more reason to make it along. Brazilian 0&8 master DJ Marky will be making an appearance (his only Scottish date of 2004), with regular MCing partner Stamina in tow.
Hailing from Séo Paolo, Marky (real name Marco Silva) is something of a superstar in his home country. Influenced by everything from Samba to acid house by way of jazz and funk, he regularly plays to crowds of 5000 or more. with his own radio shows, slot on MTV Brazil and three DJ of the year gongs.
