CITIZEN WALKEN
Being Christopher Walken
Quentin Tarantino once observed that were you to watch a Robert De Niro mOVie With the sound turned off. however serious the drama. you would assume you were watching a comedy. It's the same with Christopher Walken. only you don‘t need to turn the sound off. New York—based actor Peter Loureiro. who played Walken off-- Broadway in Who Killed Woody Allen?. knows this. It was Walken's “ass watch' monologue. a ridiculous scene delivered With deadly seriousness. from Tarantino's Pulp Fiction

Four centuries later. twice Fringe First Winner Chris Goode brings Kemp‘s dance up to date in Nine Days C/‘a/y.
But what was it that attracted Geode to this 17th century tale of Morris dancing? ‘lt's a very English road movie.’ he explains. 'Nothing really
happens. It's just about dancing the road to Norwich and every so often you meet a pig on the way. But this is not a reenactment of Kemp's tale — it's a contemporary take. And now there's an anachronistic thread that wasn't there originally as I‘m dancing along the A1 18 in full Morris gear.’ Light hearted. enlightening and all folked-up. this promises to be one of the most eccentric JOLirneys you'll ever take through East Anglia.
