Jealousy. it‘s maintained. can eat you up and spit you out. destroying all reason and leaving a shrivelled bitter wretch in the place of a once normal and balanced human being. As painful as the emotion is to experience. watching it happen can be a fairly traumatic affair in itself and it‘s this helpless position of being confronted by jealousy that we‘re placed in here by Loki Productions. More than simply an entertaining variety performance. this show works well as an interesting (and highly comical) expose of a black man's infiltration into the world of music at a time when racial prejudice was firmly set against him. Brown's impressive spattering of tap and renditions of everything from (‘hubby (‘heckcr's 'I'utstt'n to the Temptations‘ My Girl combine well with a witty repartee to make this a dynamic and memorable show.
