Self- taught artist Koons is widely known for his three-dimensional sculptures of kitsch ornaments and comtnercial sou- venirs. but his new paintings retain much of the consumer motifs central to his work. Images of chocolate swirls. (‘heerios. happy-faced sandwiches. lus- cious lips and lacquered toenails culled from the media and personal pho- tographs make up these collaged paint- ings. Ral Veroni: Lucha Por La Vida Until Sun 9 Sep (Bookshop). Artist‘s books by the Argentine painter. printmaker and environmental artist Ral Veroni. Lac/ta par la Vida (Struggle for Life) dates back to 1994 when Veroni first began printing designs on paper currency removed frotn circulation due to inflation.
Northern Lights On permanent view. once night falls. is Peter I'lnk's light installation for the gallery inspired by the aurora borealis. (‘omprising a ‘roof fin' triangle of light on the east and west roof and lift shaft. the colours regularly change. brightening up this dark corner of Iidinburgh‘s Market Street.
