Mounted 2 Until Thu 31 Aug. The Mounted Gallery moves to a temporary location during the Festival with an exhibition of mixed media artworks by over twenty artists. One of the most innovative artists of the 20th century, his small-scale abstract watercolours are on show along with over 130 oils, pen and ink, prints, gouaches and drawings from all stages of his career. Marty St James’ video project Picture Yourself emphasises the uniqueness of our lives. Visitors to the gallery during the year 2000 can have their portrait hung and framed in the permanent collection in the company of the gallery’s most famous faces.
The Art Of Documentary Until Sun 3 Sep. A look at Scottish involvement with documentary photography over the last 40 years including work by Chick Chalmers, John Charity, Catriona Grant, Tricia Malley, Oscar Marzaroli, Andy Moxon, Joe Rock, Jeremy Sutton-Hibbert and David Williams.
Men Of The Clyde: Stanley Spencer's Vision At Port Glasgow (1940-1 947) Until Sun 1 Oct. A major exhibition of work by the painter Sir Stanley Spencer (1891—1959). As Official War Artist, Spencer arrived in Port Glasgow in 1940, commissioned to produce a series of paintings of the shipyard workers at Lithgow’s Yard. He spent the next six years completing the commission, resulting in a series of monumental, frieze-like paintings which capture the labours of the workforce. Showing alongside these works are Spencer’s ‘Resurrection’ paintings, created at the end of the war, his personal tribute to the people of Glasgow.

Remix - David Cox Until Fri 8 Sep. David Cox creates unique sculptural constructions in his first exhibition in Scotland. Using tin, wood and found
objects, Cox combines magic and modern myth with popular TV, hip hop, skyscrapers and subways. During the Festival, Cox will be leading a number of workshops in automata, mask and sound making for children and adults. Contact the gallery for details.
