First among angels
This week’s Fringe First and
Herald Angel accolades are in. The Herald awarded Angels to The
Gimmick (run now ended) — directed by former List cover star Angus Farquhar — Splendour, Dive Urgence, Loco County Lonesome,
Medea (Edinburgh run now ended,
though touring Scotland) and Did You Used To Be RD. Laing. For his singular contribution to the Fringe, the Herald has awarded Richard Demarco its highest honour, an Archangel, the first of the Festival. The Scotsman’s Fringe Firsts went to Soho, Achilles, The Bogus Woman (all run now ended), The King Of Scotland, Further Than The Furthest Thing, Woman In Waiting and the aforementioned The Gimmick and Splendour.
