Weegee Re-Viewed Until Sat 5 Aug. Curated by Dr David Hopkins from St Andrews University, an insight into the life and work of Ukraine-born photographer, Usher Fellig, otherwise known as ‘Weegee’. Emigrating to the States in 1906, he worked as a newspaper photographer in New York in the early 19405 and was given access to his own police radio, enabling him to be first on the scene of crime and disasters.
Alan Currall - Encyclopaedia And Other Works Tue 8 Aug—Sat 23 Sep. The gallery’s festival exhibition present the first major solo exhibition of work by Glasgow-based artist Alan Currall. Best known for his monologue video works, Encyclopaedt'a is a new CD-ROM work which parodies the reference works of Encyclopaedia Britannica and Microsoft Encarta. See preview.

East Of Eden Scotland’s only mobile art gallery goes on tour with a new exhibition of work by Paul Caner and Kate Gray. Exploring notions of the search for identity and meaning, Gray creates large photographs displayed in light boxes and kinetic video sculptures and Carter constructs an installation including an extraterrestrial radio-scanner and a camera surveillance of the sky. The gallery will be stopping off in East Lothian during the week of Mon 7—Fri 11 Aug and in Edinburgh from Mon 14—Fri 18 Aug.
