Immediacy Mon 7-Wed 30 Aug. Not an art gallery as such, but a new website launched by Functional Arts Limited, in which you can experience the Festival without leaving the house. Digital photographs will be taken in every 24- hour period at Festival venues (Fruitmarket Gallery, Assembly Rooms and the Gilded Balloon) and will then be displayed directly onto the website.

Jon Schueler Until Sat 9 Sep. A collection of paintings by the American abstract painter Jon Schueler, whose work has not been seen in Scotland for over ten years. Spending his lifetime between New York and a cottage in Mallaig, his work was inspired by the changing landscape of the west coast of Scofland.

Euan Myles - Trap 6

Until Fri 29 Sep. Moving to a larger exhibition space, Stockbridge gallery lnk Tank present a series of six photographs of greyhounds inspired by Stubbs’ paintings by freelance photographer Euan Myles. Based in Edinburgh, Myles has created work for Tennents, Nissan and Viagra and his recent work for lrn Bru was voted ‘Best Poster of the Century’ by Campaign magazine. See review.

Comedians reveal their artistic talents in a Festival show presented by the Stand Comedy Club. Johnny Vegas exhibits ceramics, Allan Miller shows photographs and Reg Anderson displays a selection of props.
