Large collection of landscapes. biblical and literary illustrations and scenes of l9th and early 20th century life by the Dumbarton artist who revived interest in etching at the turn of the century. I No Scottish artists have been selected for the Venice Biennale. The art world's equivalent of the Cannes

' Film Festival. this prestigious event begins in June and runs until September.

Birthing Chair by Julie Roberts.

I Christine Borland and Julie Roberts will join six other young British artists and exhibit in the Aperto. This is the young artists’ section of the Biennale. and their work will be seen with over 100 other exhibits from around the world.

I The Biennale takes place every two years. Iiach country presents an

extensive show of one established artist and this year Britain has chosen the ‘pop' artist Richard Hamilton.
